Chrome extension

Clock in from the Google Chrome browser with one click and see which colleagues are working, on a break or working remotely.

The Inallow Clocks extension for Google Chrome puts the clock-in buttons in the browser bar. It is handy for anyone who works at the computer all day: there is no need to open the app or the website to start the working day, take a break or finish. If your company turns it on, it also shows your colleagues' status.

Installing the extension

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  2. Go to the extension's page in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome.
  3. Pin the extension to the toolbar (Chrome's puzzle icon › pin next to Inallow Clocks) so you always have it to hand.

Signing in

Click the extension icon. On the Log in screen, enter your Inallow Email and Password (the same ones you use in the app) and click ACCESS.

When you clock in, the extension adds your location to the clock-in, just like the app.

At the top you have the flag to change the language (Spanish, English, German, Basque, Danish or Catalan) and the icon to sign out.

Clocking in

In My workday there are four buttons. Only the ones that make sense at each moment are active:

ButtonWhenWhat it does
StartWhen you start your working day. After a break it is called Continue.Clocks you in. It asks you for the project first; if you only have one, it is chosen automatically.
PauseWhile you are working.Starts a break. It asks you for the reason for the break.
PermissionsWhile you are working. You go out on leave (doctor, personal errand…). It asks you for the reason.
StopWhile you are working or on leave.Clocks you out and ends the working day.

Before clocking in you can turn on Work-From-Home to mark that you are working from home.

When you click a button you will see "Getting location...", "Clock-in ..." and, if all goes well, "Registered Clock-in!". While you work, the extension shows the current project or reason and how long you have been at it.

The projects and reasons are the ones your company has set up in the admin panel. See Clock in and out to understand how breaks and leave work.

Seeing your colleagues (presence)

If your company has turned on presence, the list of your colleagues appears below the buttons with their status: Working, On pause, On permission or Out of the office, the project or reason they are on and whether they are on Work-From-Home. The list refreshes every minute.

  • Select status: shows only the colleagues in the statuses you choose.
  • Search...: filters by name.

Turning on presence (administrators)

  1. In the Clocks admin panel, click Settings and then Chrome.
  2. Turn on Enable presence display. You will see the message "Presence enabled".

From then on, all employees who use the extension see their colleagues' status. To stop showing it, turn the same option off. The Chrome option in Settings only appears to administrators with permission to manage presence in the extension.
