Clock in

The app's clock-in screen, its buttons, the states of your working day and what happens when there is no connection.

On the Clock-in screen you record the start of your working day, your breaks, your leave and when you finish. Open it from the menu (Clock-in) or with the centre button on the bottom bar.

For the step-by-step, see the guide Clock in and out.

What it shows

  • Your company logo, at the top.
  • Work-from-home: a switch to mark that you are working remotely.
  • The clock-in buttons: Start, Pause (or Continue), Permissions and Stop.
  • Your current status: if you have not clocked in, ¡Start! If you are clocked in, the name of the project or reason and a counter with the time elapsed.
  • Undelivered records!: a warning that appears if there are clock-ins saved on your phone that have not been sent.

You can only tap the buttons that make sense at each moment. The others appear greyed out.

On leaveName of the leave reason and counterStop

The counter restarts at every change of state. For example, when you come back from a break it starts again from zero.

Project and reason

  • When you tap Start or Continue, Select project opens. You can search with Search.... You only see your company's active projects that are not linked to a department or that are linked to one of your departments.
  • When you tap Pause or Permissions, Select reason opens, with the reasons of that type your company has created.
  • If there is only one option, the app picks it for you and shows Project selected automatically or Reason selected automatically.
  • If you close the list without choosing, nothing is recorded.

Projects and reasons are managed by the administrator. See Projects and Reasons.

Remote work

Turn on Work-from-home before tapping Start if you are going to work away from the office. The clock-in is marked as remote work and appears in My Clock-in´s with a house icon. While the app is loading your status, the switch is greyed out.

Clock-in confirmation

When you tap a button, the app shows, in this order:

  1. Getting location... (up to about 10 seconds).
  2. Clock-in...
  3. Registered Clock-in! if everything went well, or Clock-in error if not.

Location

When you clock in, the app tries to get your location and saves it with the clock-in. The first time, your phone or browser will ask for permission.

  • If you allow it, your company can see where each clock-in was made.
  • If you do not allow it or there is no signal, the clock-in is still recorded, without a location.
  • If your company has marked an area for your work centre, clock-ins made outside that area may show up as an incident in the admin panel. See Incidents.

Offline

If there is no connection when you clock in, the app saves the clock-in on your phone:

  • Undelivered records! appears on Clock-in, and the shortcut to your clock-ins shows a red counter.
  • While there are unsent clock-ins, the next ones are also saved on your phone, to keep them in order.
  • To send them, open My Clock-in´s when you have a connection. See My clock-ins.
