Chrome
Turn on or off whether your employees can see their colleagues' status in the Inallow extension for Google Chrome.
Inallow has an extension for the Google Chrome browser. As well as clocking in, the extension can show the team's presence: who is working, on what, and whether they are doing it from home. It is useful for knowing whom to call or visit at any moment. On this screen you decide whether that information is shown.
You will find this screen in Settings › Chrome.
Turning presence on or off
Use the Enable presence display switch. The change is saved straight away, without clicking any button, and the message Presence enabled or Presence disabled appears.
What employees see
With presence turned on, any employee with the extension sees the list of all the company's employees with their status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Working | Has started their working day. The project they are working on is shown. |
| On pause | Is on a break. The reason is shown. |
| On permission | Has gone out on leave. The reason is shown. |
| Out of the office | Has not started their working day. |
| Work-From-Home | Has started their working day in remote work mode. |
In the extension they can look for a colleague with Search... and filter by status with Select status.
With presence turned off, the extension does not show colleagues' status.
To see the team's presence from the admin panel, without relying on the extension, use Presence.
