Overtime types
Create the types of hours your employees can request and the multiplier applied when they are approved.
When an employee asks for extra hours worked to be recognised, they choose a request type: "Overtime", "Public holiday hours", "On call"… On this screen you create those types and decide how much each hour is worth when it is approved.
You will find this screen in Settings › Request for hours. Its title is Types of request for hours. Do not confuse it with Request for hours in the admin panel's main menu, where requests are reviewed. See Request for hours.

How the multiplier works
When a request is approved, the hours added to the employee's balance in Compensatory time are the requested hours multiplied by the multiplier of its type.
| Type | Multiplier | Hours requested | Hours added |
|---|---|---|---|
| Overtime | 1 | 2 h | 2 h |
| Public holiday hours | 1.5 | 2 h | 3 h |
| Night on-call | 2 | 2 h | 4 h |
The multiplier is applied when the request is approved. If you change it later, requests already approved keep the value they had.
