Settings

Set Inallow up for your company with centres, timetables, public holidays, absence types and the other general options.

In Settings you define the pieces the rest of Inallow uses every day: where your team works, on which timetable, which days are public holidays, which absence and overtime types can be requested and some security options for clocking in.

Who can open it

Only administrators see Settings in the admin panel's side menu. Department supervisors and employees have no access. Inside, each section only appears if your role has permission for it. See Roles and permissions.

What it contains

Clicking Settings opens Centers. The menu on the left leads to the other sections, in this order:

Recommended order

Some sections depend on others. If you are setting up Inallow, follow this order:

  1. Centers. You need them for local public holidays and to detect clock-ins made far from the workplace.
  2. Holidays. Create the ones for the whole company and those for each centre. See the guide Set up public holidays.
  3. Timetable. Define the planned working hours. See the guide Assign a timetable.
  4. Reasons. Create the break reasons before the collective agreements, because the agreement uses them.
  5. Agreements. Set the vacation days and which breaks count as work.
  6. Absences and Request for hours. Create the types your employees will be able to request.
  7. Departments and Projects. A project can be limited to a department, so create the departments first.
  8. Add the employees in Employees and assign them a centre, collective agreement and timetable. See Create an employee. Then add them as members or supervisors of their departments.
  9. Optional: Allowed IPs, Time accuracy and Chrome.

Features shared by all sections

Most sections are a list with the same actions:

  • Search...: filters the list by name as you type.
  • Create button (with the + symbol): opens the form to add a new item.
  • Modify button (pencil) on each row: opens the item so you can change it. From there you can also click Delete.
  • Click a column heading to sort the list. 10 rows are shown per page.

Bear in mind these rules:

  • Changes apply as soon as you save them.
  • Delete does not ask for confirmation.
  • Within your company there cannot be two items of the same type with the same name. If you try, the admin panel shows a duplicate item warning.
  • Inallow includes some built-in items you cannot change, such as the No Project project and the Pause without reason and Exit without reason reasons.
